First Visit

How to find us?

12th Street Baptist is located in the middle of Gadsden, just 3.5 blocks south of Meighan Boulevard (Hwy 278/431).

How do I dress?

If you are more comfortable in casual clothes, please dress casually. If you enjoy wearing a suit, then please do so. You will be welcomed by our church in both instances.

When Do I Need to Arrive?

On Sunday’s our small-group Bible Study begins at 9:30am, followed by the worship service at 11:00 am. Our Wednesday night service begins at 6:00 pm in the Chapel, and our Adult Choir, Youth Wednesday night service, and Children in Action mission activities also begin at 6:00 on Wednesdays.

What do I bring?

If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastor, Brother Craig, provides a teaching outline for his Sunday messages, and a Bible will help you to follow along in worship and in Bible Study.

Where Do I Park?

Most people park in the parking lots behind the church, since that is where most of our parking is situated.

Where Do I Enter?

Most people enter through the entrance at the back of the church, coming in under the covered area and through the double doors. There you will find a Welcome Center, and the Greeters will help you locate the appropriate Bible Study for all the members of your family.

Where Do My Children Go?

The Greeters at the Welcome Center will assist you in getting your children to the appropriate place. We offer preschool childcare from bed babies through 5 years. Your older children will want to be involved in the age-appropriate Bible Study groups provided.

What to Expect in the Worship Service?

Our worship services are a blend of casual and formal, contemporary and traditional. We encourage our guests to join us in the praise and worship of our God, regardless of which style of music we are singing at any given time.

Where are the Children During Worship?

We encourage preschool children (4 years old & up) to attend worship with their parents in the Sanctuary for the first portion of the service. Just prior to the sermon, children ages 4-2nd grade are dismissed to another area for a special Children’s Church with age appropriate worship for them.

What If I Have Difficulty Hearing?

We have hearing assistance devices available during our Sunday services. Just see an usher upon entering the Sanctuary and he will provide you with a receiver. For those with their own receivers, we broadcast on Channel J.
